OUR CHURCH
The 13th century Parish Church of St Oswald serves the community, working closely with St. Oswald's CE Primary School and many other groups.
EDUCATION MATTERS
Our Pre-school and St. Oswald's CE Primary School offer continuity and a nurturing environment for all their pupils. Meanwhile, Life Long Learning opportunities are available at the Five Village Hub, Mollington & Backford District Village Hall.

Whether it's fishing, horse riding, walking, running or cycling; our local lakes, bridle ways, rural roads, tow paths, public footpaths, and cycle paths offer opportunities for getting out and about without the need for a car.

The six, original, individual settlements all have an early English name, indicating a foundation before the Norman Conquest in 1066, but the earliest known date of their combination is 1305. 

From then, too, it is certain that a vicar had been appointed to the church we know as St. Oswald's.

OUR PARISH & UNITARY COUNCILS

Our 3 Civil Parish Councils; Mollington, Backford and Lea By Backford, hold meetings, separately, every two months.

Dates, agendas and meeting venues are posted on each of the three Civil Parish Councils' notice boards and their websites.

You are welcome to attend for the first 30 minutes of any meeting.
